What a great room (or rooms) in the home to really show off and make into exactly the style you want. We all lounge around (ho ho) in our lounges and living rooms, and what better place to make as comfy with interior styles or as classic with flair and statements than the living room.

All of our guests will inevitably see our living room, when the butler brings them in of course. So why not treat the lounge as your favourite room? After all, we spend an awful lot of time in the lounge staring defenselessly at the goggle box, so why not go to town on the decor. Rising trends in open plan living and contemporary interior design styles dictate that dining rooms are often amalgamated into the lounge today, which gives us even more opportunity to decorate with style and panache.

 The living room style we choose will inevitably feature the interior design styles most dear to our hearts, often clients we see use the lounge as a giant display cabinet for all the trinkets and pieces they have collected on various holidays and boot sales throughout their lives, without a care in the world for trends or fashions. And we have no objection whatsoever here, so long as they are all presented stylishly in a manner which is becoming of the design. Think of the mantelpiece. Oh wo is the ever laden mantle stuffed to breaking point with photos in a multitude of frames, candle stick holders balancing precariously over precipe and boxes with coins and bricabrac.
